Cookies

Cookie banners exist because sites track people across the internet for advertising. We do not. There is nothing to ask you about, so we do not interrupt you to ask it.

• Nothing at all while you read guides or use the calculators. The calculators run in your browser and the numbers you type are never sent to us.
• A short-lived record of your progress if you start the enquiry form, so that moving between steps works.
• Whatever your browser keeps of its own accord, which is outside our control.

We measure how the site is used with cookieless analytics: aggregate counts of page views and where visitors arrived from, with no identifier that follows a person around and nothing that identifies you.

We do not use advertising pixels, and we do not share visit data with advertising networks.

Our own staff area at /admin sets a session cookie for login. It has nothing to do with visitors and is not set on the public site.

If we ever add something that does need your consent, we will ask properly before setting it, not with a banner that treats a scroll as agreement. What we collect when you enquire is covered in the privacy notice.
